That's a good catch, he probably is the middle man.
And yeah, this is one of the reasons that I love what Gaetz did when he just recorded them and went straight to Tucker. The conspirators just started running around like chickens with their heads cut off, implicating themselves more and more into what they did.
This is why they didn't want him as AG. He managed to screw their plans up so hard the whole damn thing got exposed and they confessed out of sheer "you can't handle the truth" rage.
Pretty much, its amazing that all of this is public information.
I'll add this pdf from this article from the Washington Examiner that shows McGees's law firm Beggs & Lane filed articles of incorporation for Alford's company in April of 2020.
I do love that this all so public. It kinda does remind me of GamerGate in that they were so sloppy they exposed, literally, their entire conspiracy all at once. The angry response is almost entirely due to the fact that they are exposed.
I love the fact that Kent claimed that Gaetz "could have kept it quiet" despite the fact that the blackmail material was released as a result of the rejection, not after Matt Gaetz went public.
And here is the connection between McGee and Levinson. Ostensibly McGee suspected Levinson was running off-book operations for the CIA when he went missing, and eventually found the evidence and provided it to the Senate Intelligence Committee.
I'll add that shortly before before the attempted extortion of the Gaetzs (for a "loan" of 25 million dollars) the Department of State increased its reward for info on Levinson to 20 million dollars. Combined with the FBI's 5 million dollar reward, the value of Levinson was 25 million dollars.
It all stinks.
Right, if we assume any of the operation would be real, they'd probably cut themselves into the reward of 25 million. Then pay back the Gaetzs' over time, ending up with a profit for themselves.
Where did you get that McGee suspected Levinson, I wasn't aware of that.
