The difference is that unreal has fixed most of the problems it had in the 90's and replaced them with new problems. Creation kept all their old problems, and piled more on top.
The difference is Epic can sometimes write good code.
Yep. I think even if they are far from being called a good company by gamers (quite deservedly) they still have the unreal engine as a silver lining. I'd take them for a spin over Bethesda any day.
to be fair, doesn't bethesda have pretty robust modding support in their games? at least they used to =/
course they also mine those mods for ideas for the next iteration of their ips, so... =/
Yes, bethesda games have huge mod communites (Well, the ones before fallout 76 do). But I feel that they aren't entirely unique in that regard and the fact that many of their games have depended on modders for their renown has spoken ill of the company's ability to make games by itself.
I don't know if there are any mods that gave them ideas for Starfield, but that probably isn't an excuse.
