Let me guess, either they didn't pay enough in general or they didn't pay enough that Beyonce decided it wasn't worth the cost to have a performance and song linked to Kamala and Dems so just did a speech then gtfo.

The rumor is Beyoncé got paid LOTS of money to just speak. I guess they didn't have the proper audio equipment for her to sing.

Afaik they need to pay her record label a performance loicense, paying her to speak doesn't include the singing
