A solid 1/3 of people are, mentally speaking, actual sheep. They are herd animals who will happily and wholeheartedly believe whatever they're told to believe by whoever they perceive as their masters. They're not pretending or kidding themselves - they genuinely adore her now for no reason other than because they were told to.
