It wasn't really. John just spent a decade being cagey about it for some reason. There was plenty of proof that people dug up the minute John started trolling, but as far as I'm aware he hasn't admitted it himself until now. His laughable attempts at hiding it are the reason people bring it up so much.

Nah, he admitted it openly as far back as last year when he was hanging around in Keffals discord.

He also admitted it outloud on Twitter about a month ago. Even framed it as "coming out."
