All this tells me is that they are actually scared.

If they were confident in what they were doing and that any critics of it were just no-life trolls, they would have been able to just shrug this off and say "we disagree with his perspective."

Instead they know they are on unstable ledges and they can't have people getting too uppity at them or it might finally knock some shit over.
