dreads were common back then. Scandinavians wore dreads. It's not, and never was a thing by and for blacks, as the modern west would like you to believe. It's about not washing your hair, which was common practice in many places.
exactly and I think the most accurate depiction of Angrboda is probably red hair and pale or slightly dark skin if she was a fire giant but nobody knows for real because her looks were never described in the sources. I'm guessing that's why the devs took the opportunity to make it more diverse...
