I've pondered this and I'll try to sum up the best I can:
Concord is a best case scenario win for the woke.
They designed the game for the LGBTQIAP++ crowd. Gamers at large noticed. They spoke out. The community asked how they were supposed to relate to the themes in this game. They were told "this game is not made for you. If you feel that way, don't buy it."
The gaming community accepted this. The game was a legitimate safe space for the communities it was made for, and bought only by allies of that community. By their own standards, everything about the game was acceptable and nonoffensive. They had everything they ever asked for.
That the game was considered a commercial failure is solely upon the shoulders of the LGBT. The money invested and selective marketing were a result of ignoring the force majeure that is the gaming market in favor of catering to a fraction of a percent. A niche product that sold accordingly.
So the old adage is now a proven empirical result: get woke, go broke.
