I find this kind of warfare so disturbing. Nothing will make me empathize more with Russian soldiers than seeing cowardly weapons like these being used against them.
Those "cowardly weapons" are used by both sides at this point. You can expect it to be used by all sides going forwards. Though I would encourage you to still feel empathy for any soldier stuck in such a predicament, even if he is your enemy, even if it's a "sucks to suck" way.

More than traditional "sides" even. The cartels were using them to drop bombs on the army (and each other) at least as far back as 2021.
