They've never met one, sure, but model trains are media short hand for an anal-retentive loser. And as we know, media matters more to women than reality.

Agreed, I'm pretty sure a couple of their bird-brained shows used it as a shorthand visual for a 'troubled relationship'. The only positive example I can think of a model train enthusiast being shown off the top of my head is bubbles
