when they call up for polling, they don't just ask you who you're voting for. they first ask your party and voting history. and then they scale the responses based on the party ID breakdown of that state. pew/gallup are reporting the parties are neck and neck in registrations, within 1 point, but polls are overweighting her by 10+ points in swing states. so when they report she's "up" by 4 points, she's actually down by 6+ points.
