It's election season, and there's a video of a cop shooting a mentally ill old black woman who was trying to throw boiling water on them. The usual arguments are happening of course, but it's not dominating the news like it normally would.
Two possibilities stick out to me as plausible.
One is that the Dems and their mouthpieces in the MSM are sitting and waiting to push this story at the right moment, as they've calculated that it isn't a good time to make it go viral yet. While the other possibility is that they've simply dropped the BLM shit because even their own voters are sick and tired of it, which the election of Eric Adams over Maya Wiley among many other developments was already indicative of.
The fact that Kamala has a record as a "tough on crime" DA and AG and was roasted by her own side for trying to ride the BLM wave probably makes it next to impossible for Dems to promote chimpouts with her as their candidate.
I've definitely noticed an angle to the gender war among blacks being that black women are more apt to be stridently pro-cop (God help anyone who's ever at the mercy of a black female cop btw), and to say the quiet part out loud about how black male criminals won't stop unless you're ruthless with them. Considering that black men probably despise Kamala as the epitome of a bossy black woman, and how Trump is a felon who was shot at, I have to wonder how that'll affect the black male vote - not that I'm holding my breath.
Now that black girl magic boss babe police brutality is the hot new thang, white women are also feeling emboldened to say the quiet part out loud. "Karen" doesn't really work anymore either. I've long believed that Western police states would ultimately ground their legitimacy in feminist rhetoric, of course that's already blatantly been the case in the UK for a long time so it's not like I'm Nostradamus here.
Plus VAWA was in and of itself a huge expansion of the American police state. Funnily enough, back in the day Biden got Bernie to vote for the 94 crime bill by pairing it with VAWA, and Bernie supporters talk about that like it was a dirty trick, but if you really think about it, Biden was being the more logically consistent one, since VAWA and the crime bill both meant more blacks in prison LOL!
Honestly, I'm one of the few people that actually thinks this shooting was "Awful but lawful". Video
He was allowed to shoot her for being attacked with scalding water. He was attacked with scalding water, for some reason, people aren't seeing this in the badge cam. He didn't shoot until that happened.
Where he looks guilty as fuck is his attitude. He was initially quite abrasive because she didn't answer the door. His attitude didn't get better as they went into the house, which he didn't have to do. He asked for an ID, rather than just letting her spell out her name. She didn't need to give him an ID. When she said "I rebuke you in the name of jesus", he said he'd shoot her in the fucking face (which is word for word exactly what he did), and isn't necessarily a threat by itself. When she ducked down, he pursued her and got close, rather than just backing off and leaving.
He really was on full "predator drive" mode the entire time. He took every step to escalate a situation's tension, without ever taking a single step back. He was looking for a reason to put her in prison. He's literally the reason I don't call cops: I don't want him anywhere near an emergency situation because he's looking to go after me the second he arrives on scene, even if I'm the victim, because I inconvenienced him with my emergency.
However, there was no murder here, and there was no cover-up. He's likely going to get convicted because he's a cunt.
I'm in agreement here. She clearly caused what was coming to her, but only because the cops have the right of way everytime, even if being retarded, legally.
The cop overreacted early on and turned the situation up to 11, which is how it proceeded to the place it was. Just because you can act like a fucking chimpout, doesn't mean you should.
Also yeah, he was near instantly charged for it. So there wasn't enough to build a grift story off of him.
Honestly, I think this is the primary problem. I think the cop was actually looking to try and get something on her to take her to jail. He probably thought she was a drug user that wasted his time, and he was gonna get payback on that, he started doing fucky little things that cops tend to do when they want you to incriminate yourself. I don't think he wanted to shoot her, but I think he would have been glad if she threw a punch so he could cart her off to jail. Effectively, he was looking for a "chimpout" and he got one.
I think that's probably accurate enough. You don't just go 0 to "I'll fucking shoot you in the face" without already being worked up before you even enter.
Especially as, all things equal, the correct choice would have been to tell her to back away from the stove and himself turn the stove off of boil. Him demanding she do it and then acting terrified that she was then going to attack him with a weapon he told her to get rid of is basically setting her up for failure.
Honestly, he could have just said, "You know what, fuck this" and left. The purpose of the interaction was already over.
