My sister has convinced herself that we grew up in a hardcore Christian household where religion was forced onto us, which is a total joke.
We did have to attend church every Sunday until the age of ~14 when they let us decide. We went to a few summer church camps that ran a few days. (so maybe 15 total days lifetime) We were encouraged to go to youth group in junior high, but were never forced. I distinctly remember her liking youth group and being excited to go build houses in Mexico.
But with the way she talks now, you'd think it was a Handmaid's Tale situation.
