Forbes is right for asking this question.
It does resonate with Black voters. First, gang-banger culture is already popular with some parts of the black demographic in the US. So, being a felon who can take a bullet is already an impressive feat to those specific people. Second, all of these people are subject to the corruption of Democratic police, prosecutors, and judges. This means they know what getting railroaded looks like. Third, taking shots at somebody who doesn't know you and gets innocent people killed is a cowardly, bitch-move; when you should be just throwing hands according to Honor Culture.
I'm sorry, but because Democratic policies that have socially destroyed black communities in the US, they have guaranteed that some number of black voters are going to see him as "the realist nigga in the hood". That's why 50 Cent fucking endorsed him.
The content of this comment applies far more to hispanics than American blacks. Blacks absolutely do not have an honor culture and kill innocent bystanders all the time, just look at the nearest Juneteenth celebration for an example.
That's not what that means. Having an Honor Culture doesn't mean that collateral damage won't occur. I didn't say an "honorable" culture. I mean that it is a culture where honorifics and social status signals are the primary form of currency in society.
I know what honor culture is, you're the one who tied attacking people you don't know and killing innocents into honor culture, not me. Blacks attack people they don't know just for having the wrong affiliation and kill innocents in the crossfire regularly.
Hispanics actually respond to machismo/honorifics in politics much more clearly than blacks do, check out Bush Jr's share of the hispanic vote in '04 sometime.
You don't know what honor culture is. It has nothing to do with aim.
