First ones off the top of my head would be UBIK by Phillip K Dick or either Stranger in a Strange Land or JOB by Heinlein.

The Eden Chronicles by S.M. Anderson.
Though if we can expand it to fantasy as well, definitely The Dresden Files.
What is Eden chronicles about?
Part Atlas Shrugged, part Sliders, part Stargate SG1, part Little House on the Prairie.
Communist faggots are successful in their takeover of the world. A libertarian scientist discovers that other versions of earth exist, and is able to create a way to cross over to another earth that is nearly the same, except there are no people whatsoever. He had figured out how to do this decades before, and knowing the way the world seemed to be going, he recruited a team of other like minded scientists, industrialists, military, tradesmen, farmers, their families, and thousands of other non-commies to make the jump to a brand new earth to start again without communism. When the Leftists pulled the trigger on their outright hostile takeover of earth, they made the jump.
The rest of the book series deals with the fact that our earth and the one he found might not be the only ones, and those other ones do have people on them, and some of them aren't friendly. And there is still the matter of retaking our earth back from the commies.
I loved Sliders. Definitely has my interest
I thought they made a TV series of the Dresden Files.
No idea if it's good or not, but I remember the title from when I was searching for some old probably lost Bob Crane TV movie.
It's shit. They only made 1 season of it and it was different enough from the books that the fans hated it. The only good thing about it was Paul Blackthorn made a pretty good Harry Dresden. Apparently Jim Butcher was still new enough to the legal side of the media world that he didn't get much creative control over the end product. He's since said that if he gets another change, he's going to require a lot more direct control.
