To be fair Torba went back on the image paywall idea didn't he? And Elon X is also shilling AI bollocks.
With X there's little profit to be made from an alternative social media platform, which will always be a niche thing, and finances will always be a concern. Some people say elon was pushed to buy X precisely to keep the right-wing on the controlled plantation and kill sites like Gab.
