They didn't just pull the number 7 out of their ass though. I'm talking about why that number shows up all over the place in both modern media and the many historical traditions which venerated it as a holy number. Humans do potentially everything by copying things they've seen elsewhere, including how we build/structure society based upon patterns observed elsewhere.
