There was a timeline where we got to see Christina Hendricks play Mara Jade but we'll never experience it.

I love the Expanded Universe. Have you checked out Darth Angelus or the fan film doing the fight between Jaina and Jacen? I’d say Old Republic and prequels did a better job of that storytelling.

I hear people clamoring for them to put Mara Jade in the Disney canon but I’m glad they haven’t. I’d rather them not touch any of it
