How an ADL spy operation helped bring down the far-right John Birch Society
Researching his new book 'Birchers,' Matthew Dallek discovers paperwork documenting a successful espionage effort to thwart an anti-Civil Rights group deemed a threat by some Jews
This stood out to me too. It's such a brief write-off, it seems like he's trying to disown the guy. 'Oh that violent Jew? #NotAllJews bro, that one's a Bircher.'
...Except he just spent an entire interview going on at length about how good they were at infiltrating the Birch Society.
So I guess jewish infiltration = noble and good, but when you want to disown a certain jew who got found out, then membership = simply membership, and we're supposed to forget that infiltration was ever a thing, even as recently as a few sentences ago.
