Anyone who played any beloved third-party NES game:
Oh, that's cute! 😏
Edit: Just so we're clear, I'm poking fun here, I like Demon/Dark Souls just fine.
but waay too many games get compared to them as though they're the first game with ball-retracting difficulty, lmao.
I've never played dark souls but I still hate it because it has fucking ruined video games. Every other indie game now is just dodge roll stamina bar recharge wario ware instead of actual gameplay.
In a rare moment I'm gonna defend studios that do this even though I do think it's a shitty practice as well. Copy cat game genres was always a thing, do you remember the infamous piss coloured shooters of the early 2000's and how everyone was trying to make the next big shooter? Then along came PUBG and battle royale. Not necessarily claiming it's right or anything, it's just that it's not a recent trend, it's also the same reason why literally every major release now has shitty microtransactions and it's because they think it will make them money.
It's funny because people are allegedly quitting CS:2 for that game and even though it has it's problems PUBG is absolute trash really with how it runs even with the silly graphics upgrades CS:2 still runs fairly smoothly the main problems it has is with matchmaking among other things.
