Besides trying to blackwash Japanese history, its because of the powerful and positive reputation that samurais have that they want to shove blacks in to that history right? Samurais are known for being loyal , fearless, being honorable, choosing death before defeat and following the samurai code. ....
But did Yasuke display any of these traits? Even if you took the jesuits stories seriously, he didn't commit seppuku after Oda died which is what samurais do when their lord died, nor did he try to avenge Oda, , he was never trained to follow any code, as he was in Japan for only one year and was Oda's servant for only a few months, and he was simply returned as a slave to his jesuit handlers after Oda died and the battle that he fought he just immediately surrendered. They are trying to associate Yasuke with the positive reputation samurais have but he displayed no samurai traits.. He was really just a loser no matter what you call him
"Japanese population MORE xenophobic." Im not sure I'm seeing it but I hope so even though it'll make my life harder.
Funny story, I met a Japanese guy earlier this year at a martial arts event in Tokyo who was unusually fascinated by me, he immediately added me on Line and gave me his business card. I didn't look at the card until later but it turns out he's in some pro immigration group who's goal is to "help create a multicultural japan"
Now I wonder if I should just start acting like a huge asshole around him, give him a taste of what's to come, make him change his mind.
