I figured it would be fun chatting about this, Nvidia is usually the very standard go to these days and I can see why, you slot it in it's all very straightforward and pretty much guaranteed to work for the most part. Back in the day I would be going with AMD graphics cards because that's the budget option but I am one of those people who failed the hardware lottery multiple times when it came to AMD and I've had nothing but trouble with them.
Would you recommend AMD cards in 2024? Their software has certainly gotten much better and it's not weird login required crap like GeForce Experience. I've been pondering if I ever get some kind of rendering setup which hardware would be a good idea to go with.
The XTX sinks the 4080 and its a cheaper card as well

While AMD's software isn't exactly "user-friendly" technologies like FSR3 are a massive boon for AMD users
