also.. people that use "well, how come no one have issues with white main characters in a japanese setting".
well, japanese/asians and white people have similar skin tones, which works out fine in anime or games. most of the time you wouldnt know if a character is white or japanese until they say their names. and japanese/asians have a fascination with european history too since it is filled with interesting architecture, beauty of arts, language, food, and visually appealing people. basically european culture fits the fantasy setting. plus.. europeans have A LOT of recorded history, myths and lore.
a lot of games try to actually create asian characters with white beauty standards, asian characters with pointy noses and bigger eyes. im asian, and i do like that "hapa" look, the half asian-half white, look.
