Some nutjob might do something bad with one but how many little boys and girls are going to have fond memories for the rest of their lives with this in their top drawer?
We can't bend over for potential harm, just take action when it presents itself and go full on with it.
I support the knife being sold and I support anyone trying to do harm with it being pummelled and then jailed for a long time and getting pummelled in there too.
I think OP may just be pointing out the inconsistency of safety protocols. Or else, noticing that the vendors aren't being very considerate of the 'common sense knife control' campaigns just across the channel.
Very true. I upvoted the OP because this will become an issue that the media focuses on instead of the actual issue of crime in relation to violent migrants in France.
I still think that young people should have memories of their Olympic games to take with them throughout their lives and a knife is a more useful tool than a vacuum flask.
Lots of people die, or are attacked, each year with knives. On occasion it will be an Olympic, or other event, banded knife. People are poisoned all the time too - I'm sure some of them are so by branded flasks.
Punish the criminals instead of the innocent is what the law is all about. It's a shame we seem to have to learn that again.
