Public feedback is sought to give a veneer of consultation. They will expand powers anyway - guaranteed.
They need these kinds of laws implemented all around the western world in time for Agenda 2030.
They will probably take away one thing from it, the "conservatives" cheer that they've defeated big government, the rest get passed, and the part taken away will get added on later after everyone's forgotten about it.
