Very nice chill way of saying a lot of good things. Around mid-2020 when everything was going to hell I was sprinting headfirst towards being a constant ball of anger. A lot of what he's saying was my way out--not necessarily in going out into nature, albeit that's a portion of it. I just did a mass disconnect from a lot of the things in society. I've not really missed it and my head is so much more clear now.
More lately, the last few months, I've set aside a day as close to weekly as I can that's banned from schedule or obligation. No guilt for doing nothing, and no doing any "burdensome" work--meaning things that need to be done. It's very freeing. I'm even thinking about cutting out most/all electronic stuff that day, I probably won't go that far but may cut out a lot of it. Yeah, I preach responsibility and not being lazy a lot on here, but there is always a balance.
So like, for six days you labor and do your work and then the seventh day is set aside for rest? Novel...
Yeah not really novel. Although you put it like that and I'll probably be condemned to like every 7th day being hard gulag labor because "omg the Jews have sabbath!" I couldn't be less Jewish.
I just find it nice to take a day away from everything trying to stress me.
