Recently, western game developers have been making a point to rally against “objectification” in games and are citing unrealistic beauty standards set by fictional characters. Most recently, Stellar Blade has been the subject of such criticism despite the game’s heroine being based off of a real life model.
Just so we're clear on they're position, these untalented fucks are complaining "you can't make your female character too pretty, it ostracises women!"
Meanwhile the women that actually PLAY the game like the fact that they play a hot woman kicking ass in a game. And in a third person game, men really appreciate having a nice booty to look at.
Western studios have given up on beauty, it started with ESG pandering but now it's ingrained into their very corporate culture and they have no way to regain that knowledge so lash out at those in the East that still know now to portray beauty.
I now identify as a curvy beautiful woman (who shaves zer beard in Planet Fitness and gets actual women banned from that gym). Not having attractive, curvy women in video games is denying me representation.
