Not saying all of the following necessarily applies to SidAlpha, since there isn't a ton to take issue with in the vid from what I skimmed (other than the fact that he seems to have no problem with SBI's business model itself), but it very much does to his community and to other more milquetoast commenters like Asmongold, etc:
The pattern of this midfield/leftie commentary on SBI is strikingly similar to some of the scamdemic retrospectives. Those who have otherwise been good establishment lapdogs and generally subsist off an audience of sheep who never want them to appear affiliated with muh ebil far right, nevertheless suddenly see the way the winds are blowing and try to insert themselves among the populist voices of truth. The tenor of their contribution tends to be 'ok it's not as bad as le nazi conspiracy theorists say - and we all agree they're evil right? - but it's bad enough that it annoys ME somewhat, and that's how you know it's finally a serious issue, for once.'
In a sense they're inadvertently right. The left's efforts in the culture war have gotten so undeniable and so insufferable that even normalfag commenters realise they look like idiots to stay silent. So they come into the fray years too late and 100 degrees too tepid, with no goal other than profit if they're ecelebs or else galvanising their gay little community tidepools, all while making out that they're the gatewardens of common sense, through whom any acceptable opinion should be laundered. All they are is late and gay. They should get the same treatment as half-baked covid dissidents - told to fuck off, get boosted, and let the 'extreme', 'hateful', but more provenly correct voices take the steering wheel from here on.
