So are they going for a 'subversion of expectations' where they cast a black guy as a super bigoted zealot who is overtly discriminatory against the ghoul character (played by a white guy) for being a mutant, or are they just going to disregard that entire aspect of the Brotherhood of Steel?
They're going to discard everything except some names and aesthetics, same as always. Bare minimum to make the skin suit look convincing on the surface.
