If they can just patch it in, they can also patch it back out. There is a reason why you never trust a "traitor." Because even if they swear loyalty to you now, they have already shown themselves willing to betray in general. Especially if you are so spineless to do it as "social pressure" mounts.

That might be enough for some fans, but it won't get back most of them who already wrote the whole thing off entirely. Which leads to the biggest problem from the start.
