Yeah, I’m English. I live in a south east city you could easily call “woke central.”
However, I do disagree with you about the “average Brit;” have you heard of Matthew Goodwin? A thoroughly sound academic who used to be a leftie then basically snapped out of it. He’s a HUGE promoter of British culture and less immigration, and his polling indicates around 80% of the country are what you and I would call “normal.”
Most Brits KNOW what Muslims and certain immigrant cultures are like. But they’ve let themselves feel isolated, like they’re out of touch- they don’t realise it really is the vast majority are still, for want of a better term, sane.
Stuff like Lee Anderson getting suspended is all to the good; more and more people realise “Hey, this guy thinks like me and he’s been punished. Something is WRONG HERE.”
This is why I post I hope I'm badly wrong towards November. Absolute dream scenario, average normie voter sees what the main parties are doing and either stay home or they vote for the reform party. Maybe if we're lucky hung parliament with a surprise reform win as all the Conservatives simply flip their votes and give the Conservative party the middle finger with the Labour party forced to enter into a coalition with the Conservatives thoroughly exposing them all.
I tend to expect the worse case scenarios though and I think it's probably going to be an outright Labour win by a thin margin because of how disillusioned people are including me with the democratic process. I know for my part I won't be voting because I've got no choice, it's purely mainstream candidates where I am. I'll check to see if there's a reform candidate though this time around.
A very real possibility we're going to get is the Muslims could end up giving this sort of win as a result of splitting off from the Labour party because that's where the left gets the majority of their vote share from. The white working class despise labour so I think it's fairly certain most won't vote for them.
I hope there's total chaos, but at the same time I'm not stupid and I never underestimate the normie. Seeing recent developments with the politicians and how they're handling their Muslim voters is very interesting though, they're absolutely terrified of them.
