Santos was a piece of crap, but the people voted for him. He was never convicted and, as mentioned elsewhere in this thread, plenty of his scumbaggery wasn't criminal anyway. Most of Congress are criminals too, so what's the point? My issue isn't whether or not Santos was a good guy, it's the process used to remove him, and over what "crimes."
He never should have been voted in in the first place, in my opinion. But, once he's there...the people have spoken. That's how representation works. Removing him as they did is a slap in the face of everyone who voted for him...and anyone who wants a workable system in general.
Also, are we applying this evenly (of course we aren't)? Because Biden is now even more of a blatant corrupt piece of shit than we knew back in 2020. If we're removing people from voted positions due to allegations...we gotta have a special election for a new president.
I hate like 90% of the GOP. Which is like 10% less than I did a while back, so in that sense it's a massive improvement...but I still hate those slimy fucks.
