A new rumor claims Disney wants Johnny Depp to reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in their female-led 'Pirates of the Caribbean' film.

I'm sure there are plenty of examples of studios doing this, using an established franchise to make a "girl boss' movie, and it ending in financial disaster. It's Disney's own fault if they do it. All the warning signs were there for them to take note of. I hope Depp doesn't do it.
