He's a UFC fighter, so it's very likely from getting professionally punched and kicked in the face for several years. I am completely unfamiliar with this man, so I can't draw any comparisons to previous speaking patterns.
You did not know about him? The guy is extremely funny. He had a tough childhood but he uses that as a joke.
