There are people in my life that I've stopped trying to help because of nonsense like this.

You can almost see them quivering in anticipation of a real or, more likely, imagined "gotcha" moment they can nail you with.

When they start bleating at me about things all they get back is "What a shame." or "That's interesting. You should probably do something about that."
