The main proper definition is literal hatred towards women in general, the second improper definition is sexism towards women.

Yeah, the most important thing is it's about the person being a woman.
You can hate a woman (or a group of women) without being a mysoginist, because those women are pieces of shit. Only if you hate someone, because she is a woman, you are mysoginist.
