The Nigerian film industry produces around 2,500 films a year (and there are other countries in Africa), so if anyone feel oppressed by watching films and television series starring white people, maybe these people should watch movies from Nollywood.

I’ve made this point on many nerd forums when the topic of diversity comes up. If all one cares about is seeing “themselves represented” then go seek out that content. Some see it as a victory to take something away. Also look at all the writing rooms of modern shows. The same left wingers. I’m not even sure they would hire a female or minority writer in a major studio if they just wanted to write stories that didn’t involve “the message”.
Star Wars is the main example I keep pointing back to. Everytime some idiot popped off about evil white make fans I asked them have they ever seen who consumes the product?
