TL;DR The male gaze is when media sexualizes and objectifies characters, the female gaze is showing people more than their bodies and is well written. Even when men are sexualized for the female gaze, its just using the male gaze on men. Men are perverted assholes who can only appreciate womens bodies, while women are the ones who can understand people beyond their bodies and can finally be free outside of the eyes of men.
