The open source text AI stuff is so much better than ChatGPT because it's pattern recognition software that's allowed to actually recognize patterns. Once you start putting a finger on the scale for certain subjects, you ruin the machine's ability to do anything well. The secret formula for good text AI is literally "autocomplete + racism".
