It's been a marathon for the last nine years but not everyone was here at the start. So I figured I'd dig out an artifact from the long distant past for you all.
This isn't my footage, but here's a speech from the #GGinDC event way back in the day. Later that night we'd all get evicted from the building when Arthur Chu called in a bomb threat. I recall we were all having a good laugh about it because we knew it wasn't real. That night was the first time since the start of GamerGate that I had a real sense of relief that I hadn't gone mad and that there were in fact other people who saw everything that was going on. It gave me hope for the future and still does in many ways.
That was a good time. It got really interesting when cops started lining the streets outside (around 1:15 am, if the time on my photos is correct) and the place got evacuated (just before 1:30).
Milo's surprisingly not a manlet as one usually expects of well-known people and probably had the best line of the evening. After the place was evacuated due to leftist bomb threats we all stood around for a while and Christina Hoff Sommers (delightful woman, BTW) got in to a cab and left. As SOON as the car moved away Milo turned around and said "Well, mum's gone. Time to get drunk."
He then proceeded to lead a gaggle of people to another bar I forget the name of. I had to head back because I needed to catch the (next to?) last Metro of the evening.
IIRC a bunch of people had problems because they'd left their credit/debit cards with the bar as part of their tab.
