I think a point that has been overlooked is that bible verses are posted without context to be praised in the exact same way that they are lampooned.
I think that this is initially a fair point and that certain religious topics should be more detailed and above all else relevant; otherwise it is just updoot harvesting at the expense of our ontologically diverse ensemble.
Though to what I think amounts to most of us commentating, we've all been through the annals of atheist rhetoric with a collective and retrospective chagrin. Most of us would have preferred that the deconstructionist fedora stay on the coat rack for more nuanced abstractions on theological matters. We've been there and done that.
Nevertheless, here be schizos and we hate the antichrist enough to effortpost.
I get the feeling the OP is merely ranting about a confusing comment he was downvoted for earlier, but on the general topic we've been dealing with lately - Keep it in the thread is IMO enough of a rule to make sure any (a)theist sperging and religious wars don't annoy people too much. Most of us don't care if there's a "verse a day"* or an atheist posts how Abrahamic religions are the root of all evil. It's easy enough not to click those (or downvote and move on) if we don't like them. What's annoying is when one group replies to a post by making another post against the person who made the first post.
(*to be fair that should be off-topic, but that doesn't appear to be a rule - apparently anything goes until Dom says it doesn't)
Ska is beyond cringe.
No just the atheist pseudo "punk" bands that are 90% horns and filled with obsequious millennial self flattery.
Short but still accurate.
No it's mostly because they're transparently evil. Even the ones that aren't obnoxious.
Here's another good tune for traditional christains. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBRQPfe8ZII
