I haven't had an issue with it yet. Then again, I'm mostly using YouTube for political/culture war content that hasn't gone on to alt tech but has been demonetized and is using in-video ad reads to pay the bills.
I don't mind in-video ad reads. Creators mostly put their own spin on things and try to entertain, and they're not running foreign, unvetted code on my machine.
same i dont mind the sponsorship/brand deals promotion when done in video because i know the creator got payed for it and work it into the content one proment example for a bit was a youtuber called greystillplays his former style of product promotion involed him distroying the product in humorus ways. my problem is with how yt/google does THEIR advertisments they plap midroll ads in that break content flow pay a pittence if at all and flat out state they will put ads on vids regardless of monitizaton content. that last one really irks me if your putting ads on a vid you should pay them regardless too. i better stop here we will be here all day if its youtube woes.
