I just thought it was amusing, I guess. Three hours of lectures a week, theoretically about marine mammals, but I would say... 80% of the course content is about ideology, and "saving the planet"...
This is core. Can't avoid it. But it is insane to me that the Head of School, the person who supervises most of my courses, is so ideologically compromised that she essentially runs (STEM) courses like this as her personal ideological crusade...
Mid-30s woman, here. Looks exactly like you would expect. And she calls herself "old", in class, because of course she does...
That doesn't exactly reflect well on the University, I would have thought.
But anyway, I'm just there to get through this thing, and get my piece of paper, but it's still... Disappointing, I guess, that this is the quality of education I am dealing with.
Apparently this lecturer is an alumnus of the Rockefeller Foundation, and that is where she got her slides from...
Explains a lot...
Why is it always these descendants of oil barons who are so determined to pollute (ha) everything from education to the arts ("Just Stop Oil" is funded by the Getty heiress, after all)..? Guilt? Greenwashing? I don't get it...
Anyway, this is another one of those... Because of course she is.
