Ever been in a situation where a bunch of girls in a scene start giving you weird looks, ignore you, whisper to each other in front of you, and freeze you out of anything important, all because you said something that made someone feel "uncomfortable"? That's what's happening to Jason Aldean and anyone who gets cancelled. A bunch of people (mostly women and Jews) who get the "ick" about someone and decide they can't hang around the little friend group they call the economy of the United States of America anymore.
Sometimes these situations are resolved when a mean girl pokes a psycho girl a little too many times and they end up brawling in the parking lot where the psycho always wins. It's possible we need a similar solution.
It's a case of the mean girls finding your presence "uncomfortable" and behaviour gives them the "ick", the jocks back them up using strength by numbers and they all go to Principal Biden, Principal Trudeau or Headmaster Sunak who promptly expels you because everyone deems you a threat to others safety and security.
I have noticed the jocks back this society up as well unfortunately. The girls make the demands and they immediately follow.
Yes and no. The classic jock has been replaced by the preppy type in 6 different social clubs so he can get a good playing job that his tiger mom approves of. There was even a book about that phenomenon and the changes in education from the 80s onwards. That said, lots of former jocks fit the stereotype of getting fat and following the rules blindly. Normies gotta normie. So, yes and no. The old school dudes who played for fun and then went on with their lives don't really exist, at least not in large numbers.
Those are usually basketball or soccer players. Aka sports that require degrees in theater.
As opposed to... what? The NFL having LGBT patches and kneeling for black lives matter? Only hockey and MMA fighters seem to have the balls to resist cultural degradation. MLB players did too, for a time, but I have been told they have been giving in.
Honestly, I only watch fighting sports so I wouldn't know. Has the NFL gotten that bad?
