Allowing people to talk crap about someone doesn't mean that they weren't deplatformed. By your metric, Donald Trump wasn't deplatformed; both Trump and Tate were deplatformed.
I don't know why you are struggling with reading comprehension, "He isn't a great role model, he doesn't give great advice"; I don't endorse Tate. I've never seen a single video of his, never been on his site, and only saw clips of him after he got deplatformed. But I also have worked with teenagers for years -- talked with many thousands of teenagers -- and saw him have an impact that, while not great, was much better than those gobbling up the trans garbage mainstream entertainment is putting out.
As I am telling you, I always tell them I don't support his ideas. Still, him being around, as I said earlier, isn't a bad thing. He creates opportunities for discussions on subjects like masculinity, and can drive some to more positive figures.
