As long as the mayor doesn't have any personal security and is subject to the same "reimagined" police protection, go for it. I hope he finds the experience as violently enriching as I expect it to be.

The reality is that he'll afford himself private security 24/7, live in a gated community and be completely insulated from the disastrous policy he intends to unleash on the people Chicago.

Criminals will love it, activists will blame the entirely wrong people for what comes next, and good people will cry out in pain as their only protection against criminals gets gutted. I hope they're ready to start protecting themselves, or better yet, making a quick escape out of Chicago.
