You know, I graduated high school in 2002 and somehow I managed to figure out that gay people exist despite the lack of classes on it. That might be the weirdest thing about the left pushing “official” LGBT education: kids ALWAYS sneak around restrictions and get to as much porn, information on sex, and eventually actual sex as they can get. They don’t NEED adults giving them handbooks, and because they are kids and the issue is sex, they are very unlikely to WANT to hear from the adults on the subject. Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if one element of the recent student backlash against all this stuff is precisely that: kids don’t want their parents and teachers telling them about this stuff because kids just generally don’t want to listen to adults. Plus the related aspect that kids will revel against whatever is mainstream and official, and the left miscalculated when it made LGBT shit mainstream and official. I’m glad they miscalculated, but the fact remains that they did.

It isn't about the education. It's about getting the snowball started.
