It never surprised me to learn suicide rates are level pre- and post-transition. Just imagine being so mentally fucked that you think you’ll be a normal looking woman and then turning out the way they almost always turn out. You’d need a bull-dose of cognitive dissonance or straight up denial every day to stop yourself from seeing the real face in the mirror.
