It's no shock to find out that attractive people have persistent and wide-ranging benefits in most areas in life that normal people don't have, but it is nice to have some evidence. As virtual worlds become more likely (eventually it will be very similar to Ready Player 1), we will see less of this discrimination due to humans being able to pick idealized avatars to represent themselves online.
Ready Player One is literally a dystopia, where people live in slums and are worked to death…
It is not a future we want to build towards.

What, you think we haven't been heading in that direction for roughly 40 years already? Have you MET many humans? As soon as the microchip was invented, it was all over for us. We just have to follow the natural progression to get to the part where we all just lie down and die.
