The covid nonsense really opened my eyes to how scientific "consensus" is reached.
The orthodox opinion is decided, and anyone who has a contrary opinion is purged. Then they can say all mainstream scientists agree with orthodox opinion. A little bit of record scrubbing later and the normies will believe anything you tell them about the subject.
I didn't completely understand this until I saw it happen in real time with the coof. Now I just asssume that's how it happens with everything, including climate hysteria.
I found out the food pyramid and everything we were taught about fat is basically complete lies years ago, but I'll still have middle aged women tell me that eating soybean oil is better than real butter and that grains are nutritious.
Food pyramid bullshit was one of those things that just seemed so retarded on its face even as a kid. But I never went so far as to connect that feeling towards understanding that fat isn't evil and that composing a diet of tons of carbs is actively harmful to one's body until the past year or so.
Out of all the rabbit holes to go down, I can't recommend it enough because you'll come out the other end feeling better physically and mentally than ever before.

Interesting. I can't say I've seen the same, but it would be a welcome change. A marginal improvement at least.
